The new 20,000+ square-foot station replaces the main station for the City of Oregon and serves as the department headquarters which houses a combination of full-time and part-time staff. The Administrative offices are located behind the station where the Chief, Assistant Chief and Administrative Secretary work daily.

The new building has five drive-through apparatus bays, modern living quarters for up to 11 personnel per shift and houses two engines, two medic units, Life Squad 8, a brush truck, a supervisor vehicle and provisions for the tower ladder.

Inside, the fire station includes six offices with IT, copy and server room, and Watch Commander room. There is an 11-bed dorm room style sleeping quarters for the fire fighters, commercial grade kitchen with dining area, day room, dirty room for commercial and domestic laundry, clean room for storage, room for firefighting gear with negative pressure ventilation, compressor room, bulk storage area, equipment and tool storage area, a workout room, and a training room to accommodate up to 30 people. Electrical work included multiple systems, lightning protection, and generator with emergency shelter back-up.
